Washington is trying to do this with complete secrecy and speed, but the satellite images and sources form within Yemen have revealed what is happening there.
It is not a surprise or any strange thing to do so for America because it is always seeking to increase its influence and is waiting for such opportunities to rule under any circumstances, even if at the expense of starvation or displacement of people on whose territory it creates bases.
Special sources told the Lebanese Newspaper ‘Al-Akhbar’ about the details of the operation and the mechanism of the American forces to quickly establish the base. The source confirm that the two American military planes carrying various equipment, including spying and intelligence monitoring, landed on one of the largest islands in the Red Sea.
The images show that the site is the Island of Hanish al-Kubra, which is 130 km from the city of Hodeidah and 40 km form al-Makha, whereas this came after the aggression coalition are in process of controlling the Islands of Socotra in the Arabian Sea and Bab al-Mandeb and Zaqer in the Red Sea.
After the arrival of US forces to the Island, a number of American experts installed radar, while as it must be reminded that the Island Hanish had been exposed during the first year of the war Air Strikes launched to force the fishermen leave the island and create situation for the coalition troops in early December 2015, and since then Hanish has become a closed military zone.
The Importance of the Position
The importance of the site is that it is located in a vital area of great strategic importance in the Red Sea, which in turn connects the three continents of the world, Asia, Africa and Europe and therefore it is one of the most important shipping routes in the world and because of the existence of the superpower in conflict over influence, Muslim and Arab Middle East along with the Zionist regime on this sea, it was naturally going to be one of the most dangerous place to witness a major international conflict.
On the other hand, the sources say that the island contains military facilities built by the Yemeni army earlier in the nineties, making it a target for all parties to the conflict.
Last Tuesday two military planes arrived in Hanish but with the arrival of these two planes the coalition forces were prevented from operating any action I the rest of islands, as well as from the coasts of Yemen, from approaching Hanish, without revealing the reasons for the ban, but clearly the goal is to preserve the secret of the American move, which comes in the face of the media of the coalition about the imminent approach aimed to a major military operation aimed at controlling the port of Hodeidah.
In one way or another, the America is strengthening its military presence directly contributing to the Israeli regime that has faced 1973 war when Yemen closed the Bab al-Mandeb strait with the agreement of Egypt, and here Washington realized that its survival would not continue without stripping Arab regimes of all their defense and weapon capabilities against the states that oppose.
As a result, America fought through its allies to control the islands on the red sea, where the UAE took control of the island of Socotra, which prompted Saudi Arabia to seek control of other islands in the Arab and Red Sea.
That is what happened as Saudi Arabia built a military base on the strategic island of Miyoun, which oversees Bab al-Mandeb. This is what the Yemeni parliament considered a flagrant violation of international law and an infringement of Yemen’s national sovereignty.
It should be noted that in addition to importance of the strategic island of Hanish, there is another island called Zaqar and comes from the importance of being the nearest sites of Bab al-Mandeb, and oversees three lines of maritime navigation. Washington has already tried to expand the Yemeni-Eritrean dispute in the mid-1990’s, with the aim of internationalizing these islands and placing them under the administration of the United Nations.
