The safe zones in Syria would cover all of Idlib province, as well as parts of the provinces of Aleppo, Latakia and Homs.
Iran, Russia and Turkey with Syria’s consent have signed this memorandum in order to reduce violence in four areas. In the fourth round of the dialogues, the delegates of three countries including the United Nations have signed the memorandum.
According to the memorandum, all the mentioned countries would guarantee the control of violence and the ceasefire will not be violated. These countries are acting as a guarantor of peace and security and at the same time supports the territorial integrity.
It is being expected that by creating the safe zones in this worn torn country, the humanitarian aid will be provided to the people and measures will be taken to restore the urban infrastructure and water supply and other life support systems will also be restored.
