General Bilal Akbar has assured the Afghan Chief of Army Staff General Muhammad Shareef Yaftli and the Afghan Defence Minister Tariq Shah Bahrami that Pakistan will not allow its land for any activity against Afghanistan. The other side has also promised the same to the Pakistani General.
Both the countries since decades have been afflicted by terrorism while scores of people have lost their lives while many assets have been destroyed. General Akbar gave a light of hope by suggesting that if both the countries fight together against terrorism, the roots to this curse can be cut off.
On the behalf of Pakistan Army, the General has given condolence to the Afghan side on the massacre of 135 Afghan soldiers by the Afghan Taliban.
A few days back an interview by the Taliban commander was released by Pakistan in which he had revealed that his movement from Afghanistan to Pakistan takes place quite smoothly while the Afghan side has rejected the claim.
