The terrorist act in Manchester Arena after a concert led to the death of 22, including children. The President of the United States was in the Middle East then and condemned the act calling its suicide bomber “the evil loser in life.” ISIS claimed the Manchester terrorist act.
The truth, however, is that Trump’s travel has a main role in instigating the wars in the region by extremists. Talking in Saudi Arabia in a assembly of dozens of Sunni ruling countries leaders, he called Iran the main supporter of terrorism and extremists in the world. These claims infuriated Iran on the one side and encouraged the Arab dictatorships to set off conflicts with Iran.
This is while most extremists and terrorist groups are created and developed in Sunni countries like Saudi Arabia. These groups take their rules and disciplines from Wahhabism, the oppressive and violent sect of Sunnis mostly practiced in Saudi Arabia.
Besides, Trump made indirect attempts in his speeches and meetings with the leaders of Arab countries to fire the disputes between Shia and Sunni, The two main sects of Muslims. Selling millions of dollars of Arms to Saudi Arabia will by no means be considered as an act of making and boosting peace in the region.
Talking with the Bahraini King Hamad, Trump expressed full support for Bahrain dictatorship. Even Obama ceased backing Bahrain leader for massive incarceration and oppression. In his meeting with King Hamad, Trump asserted that the past is over and the US backs Bahrain:
Our countries have a wonderful relationship together, but there has been a little strain, but there won’t be strain with this administration.
The immediate outcome of these words turned up yesterday; an attack to the Shia village of Diraz, home to the leading Shia cleric Sheikh Isa Qassim. Sheikh Isa Qassim has recently been given a 1-year sentence for, as it is claimed, financing terrorism.
To end the terrorism and extremism, the wars should be terminated and peace must be back to the Middle East. The truth, however, is that America is the main country which is financing terrorism. From Riyadh to Tel Aviv, there was only message in Trump’s travel: more wars.
To control and terminate the terrorist acts like Manchester, and the likes in Paris, Nice, Berlin, and Brussels, and many more in Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan that are of the same root and nature and mostly neglected by the mass western media, the wars should end and this is not what Trump and his country would find desirable. Documents reveling the role of America in creating, financing, and arming the terrorist groups, mainly ISIS, has so far been released by WikiLeaks and other sources.
Al-Qaeda, Al-Nusra, and ISIS are the players of the game of war in the region for America. The game should remain for America to remain in the region.
