Hillary Clinton believes she would be the winner of the November 8 elections if the letter from FBI director and the WikiLeaks documents were not released before the date.
Speaking in Women for Women International forum in New York, Hillary Clinton, the former US Secretary of State believes that she had been the winner of the elections before October 27 when James Comey, the FBI director, released a letter stressing on the reopening of the investigations into the classified emails of Clinton.
The letter was issued after WikiLeaks released documents proving the existence of a private email server used to send secret mails when Hillary Clinton had been the secretary of state. Ms. Clinton says the campaign
was on the way to winning [the 2016 election] until the combination of Jim Comey’s letter on October 28 and Russian WikiLeaks raised doubts.
She calls the WikiLeaks ‘Russian’ to refer to the fact that the news was released and spread by the aide of Russia. Clinton also adds, the Russian interference and the fake news about the mails “raised doubts in the mind of people who were inclined to vote for me but scared off and the evidence for that intervening event is, I think, compelling.”
Clinton believes that Putin’s support for her opponent was due to the personal grudge that he had been holding since she was in office. Referring to the coincidences between Russia and Trump’s statements, Clinton said the Russian aid is neither deniable nor negligible.
