According to Azeri website AzerTac, Israeli citizen of Azerbaijani background met the representative of the Azerbaijani Parliament.
According to the report, during the meeting, Akhundova talked about the present situation of Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and liberation of the occupied territories. She said: “the Republic of Azerbaijan doesn’t only belong to those live in its territory, it also belongs to all Azerbaijanis who get citizenship in other countries.”
The representative of Azerbaijani Parliament granted hers seven-volume book, ‘Heydar Aliyev: Personality and Epoch’ which is about his life and activities, and a new book published by Azerbaijan’s current president to Azeri community of Azerbaijan residing in Israel.
About the bilateral relations between the two governments, she said: “Azerbaijan and Israel enjoy close bilateral ties. The two sides have engaged in intense cooperation so it has been flourishing different part of Azerbaijan’s economic.
Akhundova added: “enhancing bilateral relations between Israel and Azerbaijan made some of neighboring countries worried that we do not care.”
