Donald Trump is going to be impeached soon, according to five experts

According to a number of polls, Donald Trump has some of the worst approval ratings of any US president ever.

But here we are, 100 days in, still going strong(ish).

Many experts have been predicting that his term will be cut short, either by a resignation or impeachment.

In the history of the US, no president has ever been successfully impeached and removed from the White House. Both Bill Clinton and Andrew Johnson had been in the firing line, but both were acquitted by the Senate. While Richard Nixon left under his own steam.

However, Donald Trump presents a new era of presidencies, and experts have been pointing out that he may well be the first to be impeached.

Here are five experts in various fields, who have come out and said that Donald Trump won’t last very long.

1. Historian and Professor, Ronald L Feinman

The American history professor said that Trump, who is 70, would stay in the job "between the 31 days of William Henry Harrison in 1841" and the "199 days of James Garfield".

Feinman argues that it will be Vice President Mike Pence who will eventually challenge Trump for the presidency.

In a blog post about it, Feinman writes:

Pence knows how to play “hard ball” and it is clear by his demeanor and body language that he is often uncomfortable with Trump’s freewheeling and careless behaviour. An investigation into the Flynn matter will develop, with Speaker of the House Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell promoting it... As the FBI investigates this situation further, which would be expected to occur as a normal procedure after such a high level and immediate scandal, the earliest ever in any Presidential term (25 days), there will be calls for Trump to resign or be impeached.

2. Political historian, Allan J Lichtman

Allan J Lichtman, dubbed 'prediction professor' for correctly theorising that Donald Trump will win the US presidential elections, has come forward with another chilling predication.

Speaking to The Independent  earlier this month, he predicted that Trump is to be impeached, and what’s more, that there is a 50 per cent chance that it will happen before the mid-term elections of 2018.

He said:

There is a Russian sword of Damocles hanging over him [Donald Trump].

There are several reasons he may be impeached, including alleged “crimes against humanity” for withdrawing the US from the effort to stop climate change. Additionally, he points to two rules – the emoluments clause of the US constitute which prohibits him from accepting gifts from foreign powers, and the second is a law that prevents public officials from benefiting from insider knowledge.

Lichtman says that Trump hasn’t yet given the money that foreign officials may have paid to him for staying at his hotels abroad.

3. Anthropologist, Hugh Gusterson

Similarly to Ronald Feinman, anthropologist Hugh Gusterson believes that Trump will deposed by his own party.

In a column for Bulletin of the Atomic Sciences, he writes:

I expect President Trump to be deposed in a Republican house coup. He will then have been a vehicle for the election of President Pence.

4. Professor of politics, Angelia Wilson

Professor Angelia Wilson, from the University of Manchester told The Independent that it is “highly likely” that the US president will be “impeached in the first 12 to 18 months”.

Wilson argues that a number of subjects could ignite the fire, including the Russia dossier. She says that the scandals which have been trailing Donald Trump are likely to become a “liability” for the Republican Party.

At some point they will need to distance themselves from him in order to solidify re-election for the House.

5. Harvard Law School professor Noah Feldman

Harvard Law professor Noah Feldman doesn’t think it will be Trump’s scandals that will be his undoing, but rather the “subtle, careful, slow undercutting of press freedom”.

Under Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution, a president can be impeached for “treason, bribery and other high crimes and misdemeanours.”

This, according to constitutional lawyer and historian Kevin R C Gutzman, can include abuse of power, under which manipulation of the press can fall.

In a podcast for Slate, Feldman says:

To curtail press freedoms, to frighten the press, especially through corporate pressure, into ceasing to be effective critics.

Two members of alt-right accused of making white supremacist hand signs in White House after receiving press passes

Cassandra Fairbanks and Mike Cernovich pose in the White House briefing room Twitter/Cassandra Fairbanks

Two conservative journalists have sparked outcry on social media by making what some have interpreted as a white supremacist hand symbol at a recent visit to the White House.

Freelance journalist Mike Cernovich and Cassandra Fairbanks, a reporter for Russian news outlet Sputnik, posed for a picture behind the podium in the White House briefing room. In the photo, they are making a hand sign that can be used to signify “white power.”

“Just two people doing a white power hand gesture in the White House,” Fusion senior reporter Emma Roller tweeted, alongside a screenshot of the picture.

Ms Fairbanks, however, claims the hand gesture was not a reference to the white power movement. She pointed to her partial Puerto Rican heritage as evidence that she is not a white supremacist.

“White power!!!!!!! Except I'm Puerto Rican. Can it be PR power?!” she tweeted.

Ms Fairbanks’ supporters point out that the hand symbol is also used to mean “OK.” Photos show people of all races using the symbol to signify that everything is “alright.”

The symbol, however, has become more contentious with the rise of the alt-right – a far-right contingent in the United States that rejects both mainstream conservatism and liberal ideologies. The self-proclaimed founder of the alt-right, Richard Spencer, is a well-known white supremacist.

Alt-right journalist Lucian Wintrich, a writer for The Gateway Pundit, sparked outcry when he flashed the symbol in a similar picture at the White House in February. Notorious alt-right personality Milo Yiannopoulos also frequently flashes the symbol.

The resurgence of the symbol may be traced back to a popular alt-right meme, known as “smug Pepe,” which began circulating on alt-right, pro-Trump message boards in 2015. Mr Trump often uses the symbol when speaking, explaining its significance with the president’s supporters.

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) characterises the symbol as a “racist hand sign.”

“Some white supremacists, particularly in California, may use a two-handed hand sign in which one hand forms the letter ‘W’ and the other hand forms the letter ‘P,’ to represent WP or ‘White Power,’” an entry in the ADL’s hate symbols database reads.

Ms Fairbanks joined notoriety when she moved from supporting Senator Bernie Sanders to supporting Mr Trump for president. She now frequently speaks out against Islamic terrorism and the Black Lives Matter movement. Her employer, Sputnik, applied for White House press credentials last month.

Mr Cernovich is the founder of the men’s rights blog Danger & Play, and author of the book “MAGA Mindset: Making YOU and America Great Again.” He received White House press credentials on 25 April.

‘Bikers for Trump’ mistake non-white rally-goer for protester and physically force him out of arena [Video]

Neil Makhija at Trump rally -- (YouTube screengrab)

A man who said he went to hear President Donald Trump speak in Pennsylvania last night was shoved around and forced out of the Harrisburg event by a group of men calling themselves “Bikers for Trump”.

Speaking with, Neil Makhija said a woman pointed him out as a protester –even though he was just there to watch — and he was immediately surrounded by a group of burly men who forced him up against a wall.

Calling it a “disturbing moment,” Makhija said the altercation began when a woman near him was removed because she was holding up a sign reading, “The sea levels are rising.”

“Then a supporter just pointed at me and said, ‘Hey, take that guy too,’ and they went after me,” Makhija explained.

In video uploaded to YouTube by PennLive, the men can be seen surrounding the attendee, bumping him with their chests and restricting his movements as they herded him towards the wall and then out of the venue.

“They went way beyond what people should do,” Makhija said, adding that after he was forced out of the arena the police let him back in again.

Makhija can be seen being grabbed at the 30-second mark in the video below:

Theresa May faces fresh accusations of 'hiding' after Scotland rally publicly listed as child's birthday party

Theresa May is facing fresh accusations of “hiding” from voters after a campaign event held in Scotland was publicly listed as a children’s birthday party.

Bemused locals in Aberdeenshire had been unable to find the location of the Prime Minister’s visit, which was not advertised in advance.

It was only after Ms May spoke to assembled supporters at Crathes village hall that they discovered it had been booked out as a “child party” between 10am and 5pm.

Crathes' Village Hall was apparently booked out for a child's birthday party at the time of the Prime Minister's visit on 29 April

Kevin Newell, 34, said he was shocked to find the listing on the venue’s website hours after attempting to put “serious questions” to the Prime Minister.

“There were a whole load of us who wanted to go and question her on a lot of important policies and issues,” he told The Independent.

“It’s been so secretive, they are supposed to be holding these big rallies but all she’s doing is hiding in little village halls, not saying they are going to be there.

“So there’s no one apart from local Conservative activists standing there and boosting her ego even more.

“It’s quite pathetic really – for the Prime Minister of the UK to be hiding in a village hall in rural Aberdeenshire.”

On Sunday morning, the Prime Minister restated her position that she would not be taking part in TV debates, telling ITV's Robert Peston: “The sort of campaign I want to run is one that is about getting out and about getting across the whole country, meeting people from all sorts of communities, communities that have felt people have ignored them, and not taken their concerns seriously.”

Asked specifically about concerns that local people in Crathes were ignored even when the Prime Minister had visited the community yesterday, a party spokesperson told The Independent: “The Prime Minister has visited cities, large and small towns and yesterday she visited a rural community. She has been in the three nations of Great Britain since the start of the campaign. In contrast Corbyn yesterday ventured all of two miles from his own house to give a speech about himself.”

The event came just days after Jeremy Corbyn accused Ms May of “hiding from the public” at another engagement in Derbyshire, after it emerged that staff were barred from the workplace for the rally.

The Labour leader said Ms May’s refusal to face real voters on the campaign trail was “showing contempt for the public” and suggested she was scared of them.

Prime Minister Theresa May delivers a speech while on the election campaign trail in the village of Crathes, Aberdeenshire. (PA)

“Theresa May is hiding from the public – she won’t take part in TV debates and she won’t talk to voters,” Mr Corbyn added.

“Refusing to debate Labour in this election isn’t a sign of strength, it’s a sign of weakness. What is she afraid of?”

The Prime Minister only faced questions from journalists at Clay Cross in Derbyshire, before she was taken to an event at a business centre in Leeds – after staff had left for the day.

Photos from Crathes showed the small village hall seemingly packed with supporters, including several holding placards bearing election slogans.

The Conservative Party’s press office had hailed the event on Twitter, also saying the Prime Minister had managed to visit the “three nations of Great Britain” since calling the snap election.

Ms May told the crowd they were approaching the “most important election” of her lifetime, hitting out at the Scottish National Party (SNP) and Labour for “disrupting” Brexit negotiations.

Describing her leadership as “stable” eight times, the Prime Minister said the Tories would help Scotland “flourish” as much as other parts of the UK.

“We want to ensure that we build a more secure and united nation,” she added.

“That means taking action against the extremists who would divide us and standing up against the separatists who want to break up our country.”

The location for the Prime Minister’s pitch was so remote that television channels were unable to broadcast live and journalists complained of a lack of mobile signal.

Despite a surge led by Scottish Tory leader Ruth Davidson in the Scottish Parliament, there is still only one Conservative MP in Parliament – but Ms May is hoping to increase the number amid poor poll showings for Labour.

Nicola Sturgeon reacted to Ms May’s foray north by urging voters not to allow the nation to be “dragged back” by an “increasingly hard-line right wing Tory Government” in Westminster.

Mr Corbyn accused the Prime Minister of slipping into a “presidential bunker mentality”, reliant on sound bites and squeezing dissent while claiming her attitude could lead to “damaging mistakes” for the country.

The Conservative Party could not immediately be reached for comment.

Traces of Turkish Security Services’ Role in Assassination of Saeed Karimiyan, Iranian TV CEO in Turkey

Saeed Karimiyan joined the Mujahidin Khalq Organization (MKO) having been encouraged by his parents. He began his media activities for them in Iraq. Karimiyan talent in media and advertising helped him on his way to achieve organizational growth at Iranian oppositions' official media in America.

After a while, he was acquainted with a man named Gholam Reza Farahan. Cooperating with MKO and receiving supports from the Turkish intelligence service, he officially launched GEM TV in 2006. The network's main mission was attracting artists from Iran, having cultural and political relations with the opposition abroad and creating a soft coup in Iran.

Little by little GEM was gaining more power and the proud owner of the channel had problems with the organization about the artistic and administrational issues. In the meantime, he became prey to the Iranian security services through one of his relatives. He gave them information about the related artists, Iranian rebels abroad, their economic partners and even about Iran's opposition.

The partnership, which started two years ago, was discovered through Turkey's intelligence and security service and they, in turn, informed MKO. Worried about the issue, they decided to remove him from their network. In recent months, Saeed Karimiyan was removed from his security cover due to unspecified reasons. It was the best chance to assassinate him. Karimiyan was shot in a military zone with 27 bullets tearing his body apart. Using such huge amount of the bullets indicates their high cooperation with the Turkish intelligence service.

Tony Blair intervenes in the election and lets slip what he really thinks of Theresa May

In a new interview with The Observer, Tony Blair has once more condemned Labour’s current direction as being “hard left”. The same interview sees Blair referring to Theresa May as “sensible”, “reasonable”, and “mainstream centre-right”. And this dismissal of Labour’s current policies, combined with the whitewashing of May’s record, shows just how far ‘mainstream’ politics has swung to the right.

Speaking to The Observer, Blair says:

[May is] in many ways a reasonable, sensible person, mainstream centre-right politician.

The trouble is, she’s a reasonable person delivering an unreasonable policy in the case of Brexit.

And it’s clear that Blair really isn’t on board with May’s stance on Brexit:

Why do you think the Ukip people are folding into the Tory party? Not because they think she’s going to deliver a softer version of Brexit. It’s because they think they’ve won.

Yet it’s difficult to see how any Labour politician could respect May. Her record in politics and government speaks for itself.

Millions saw Theresa May crumble after one simple observation from Andrew Marr [VIDEO]

Millions saw Theresa May’s campaign crumble after one simple observation from Andrew Marr. May will defend Britain, while Jeremy Corbyn is a national security risk … right?

That’s the Conservatives’ flagship electoral posturing. But viewers of Marr saw that the narrative couldn’t last past a brief glance at recent history. The host pointed out:

And you have raised again and again the question of Jeremy Corbyn. Can I put it to you that when it came to one of the important votes that we’ve had in recent times, on the Iraq war. Whatever you think of Jeremy Corbyn, he was on the right side, looking at history, and you were on the wrong side. You went into the voting lobbies behind Tony Blair and voted for the Iraq war, which had so many disastrous consequences. And he did the unpopular thing and stood out against it.

The Prime Minister had nothing to say in response. The volley of irrelevant generalities and slogans made that clear:

If we look at the choice at this election, the choice people will be making is who do they want to see as Prime Minister… What Jeremy Corbyn has shown is that he’s not prepared to stand up for the defence of this country…

But, as Marr points out, Corbyn has shown the opposite. Before the war in 2003, the Labour leader warned:

It will set off a spiral of conflict, of hate, of misery, of desperation that will fuel the wars, the conflict, the terrorism, the depression and the misery of future generations.

The rise of Daesh (Isis/Isil) was a direct result of the Iraq war May voted through. The extremist group grew support in opposition against the invasion and the occupation that followed. As well as establishing Daesh, the war led to the death of around 1 million Iraqis. And it destabilised the region – the roots of the refugee crisis.

On top of what Marr called the “disastrous consequences”, May swallowed the false pretext for the Iraq war. It was based on Tony Blair’s ‘dodgy dossier’ – a sham paraded as conclusive evidence across the media.

Those who don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat it. The Conservative government’s unflinching support for Donald Trump brings May’s foreign policy into serious question. Under May’s leadership, there’s little chance of ending the cycle of perpetual war. Meanwhile, Corbyn has shown foresight on many issues, including Iraq and Libya. That’s why the narrative that May is a ‘safe pair of hands’ crumbled at one simple observation from Marr.

Watch Marr make the observation here:

Jared Kushner’s Key Role in Trump’s Financial and Political Ties with Israel

A former real estate investor and newspaper owner, Jared Kushner is one of the main sources of controversy in Trump administration. Apart from executive positions, Kushner is a leading adviser to Trump on Middle Eastern affairs.

Jared Kushner is Jew who inherited his wealth and name from the father. When he was 17 years old, he participated in Israel’s commemoration for the Jewish victims of the second World War where Israeli prime minister was stressing the necessity of the existence of the country in its utmost power to prevent similar events. The small Kushner’s connection with Israel and its leaders was kept for years later. He has recurrently visited Israel for business. However, it was not only financial transactions that linked him to Zionists. As Hirschy Zarchi, rabbi at the Chabad House at Harvard says, “Israel wasn’t a political discussion for him; it was his family, his life, his people.”

In presidential campaign, Kushner was one of the few advisers to Trump. The young man whose wife, Ivanka Trump, converted to Judaism after marriage still has close ties with Zionists. Joseph Kushner, Jared’s grandfather has been one of the big donors of the Israel regime. The photo below shows Mr. Netanyahu, current Israeli PM, at the Joseph Kushner Hebrew Academy in Livingston, N.J.

In a list showing the potential donors of Benjamin Netanyahu, the name of Charles Kushner, Jared’s father, can also be seen.

His parents also donated $20 million to a medical school campus in Jerusalem two years ago. This shows how Jared Kushner is now a tight link between Trump and Netanyahu. Kushner himself was listed in 2015 in “the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) as a benefactor for its real estate committee, which required a donation of at least $36,000 to the powerful pro-Israel lobbying group.”

Reuters writes:

Ahead of AIPAC's annual conference last month in Washington, Kushner advised his father-in-law to lay out concrete policies that would help smooth over relations with the Jewish community, according to two sources.

Jared Kushner has no experience in political activities, but has inherited close ties with Zionist leaders and made close connections with countries like Saudi Arabia during his business years. Ivanka, his wife, who is also in the administrative jobs against the law has connections with some Arabian countries making deals easier for Trump and promoting the policies of the US in the region.

The missile attack in Syria was confirmed to be under the direct influence of Ivanka Trump. Financially and politically, the strikes which were operated using the pretext of chemical attacks, were proved to have had beneficial use for the Trumps. Kushner’s relationship with Zionist is of a similar nature showing the reason behind Trump’s insistence on using his close relations in spite of the criticisms and against the law. Zionists are also using g Kushner to promote their plans in the world a to attract financial aides. This win-win deal between the two sides is adjusted in a way that may lead to a ‘lose’ for Americans and people around the world.

100 Days after Taking the Office; 300 Protests Across the US Against Trump Environmental Policies

Thousands of people gathered in Washington 100 days after he took the office. “People’s Climate March” in multiple cities of America took to street to show their protest at the anti-environmental policies of Trump government.

More than 15,000 people marched from the lawn of the US Capitol to the White House. This is while the temperature in Washington was bothering the demonstrators. The protests are supported by famous people and environment activists like Leonardo DiCaprio.

The protesters carried signs and shouted chants against the president and his comments on climate change. Some signs read “Imagine a world free of climate change,”“Planet over profits,” “There is no Planet B.” Another group also had banner displaying “100 days? I wish this was fake news.”

Outside the Trump tower in the street, people shouted “We want a leader, not a creepy tweeter.” The protest did not turn violent as the protesters preferred to take selfies with police forces rather than confronting them. In New York, supporters of Trump also took to street to show their support for the president aft his 100-day function.

The trump administration has announced that it’s assessing the consideration to withdraw the country from Paris Agreement. Paris Agreement is a commitment by 190 countries around the world for a joint effort to curb global warming. Trump recently said he wants to decrease the funding of the Environmental Protection Agency.

People’s Climate March is going on in America and its organizers say they planned for 300 protests across America.

Putin once casually said over dinner that he could destroy America in a half-hour or less

In December 2011, Vladimir Putin, then Russia's prime minister, was positioned to reclaim his role as Russia's president in the March 2012 elections.

Fittingly, he hosted a lavish banquet at New Century, Moscow's richest equestrian club, for members of the Valdai Cluband distinguished academics and journalists from around the world.

"The fare was extravagant: smoked trout, duck liver, venison soup, rhubarb sorbet, veal cheeks, and pear soup with caramel," according to Douglas Schoen and Melik Kaylan, authors of "The Russia-China Axis."

Putin addressed topics ranging from the "Russian government's loss of public trust to his own indispensable leadership."

He later directed his focus on the US and addressed the Americans in attendance.

"You ask me whether we are going to change," he said. "The ball is in your court. Will you change?"

He expressed his disapproval of US plans to build a missile-defense system that he believed would pose a deliberate threat to Russia's national security.

Putin then added that the only reason the US had any interest in relations with Moscow was that Russia was the only country that could "destroy America in half an hour or less."

Schoen and Kaylan conclude: "It would be difficult to find a statement more revealing about Putin's true position regarding the United States."

Thousand-Fold Punishment will be Underway; North Korea Calls Israel ‘illegal possessor of nukes under the patronage of the US’

“crazy and radical group”; these words by Israeli defense minister about the North Korea made the officials in Pyongyang infuriated. In response, North Korea called Israel the “only illegal possessor” of nukes in the middle east and a real threat to the people living in the region.

In an interview with Hebrew news site Walla, Avigdor Lieberman, the Israeli defense minister, called the North Korean leader a “madman” and accused the “crazy and radical group” of “undermining global stability.” In response, Pyongyang called Lieberman “sordid and wicked” and asserted that his comments are to cover up its illegal acts throughout the region and world.

Lieberman also referred to the nuclear tests of the North calling them the steps to cross the redlines. The North Korean Foreign Ministry responded by calling Israel a disturbance of peace and saying North Korea is fully entitled to equip itself against any potential aggression of the United states. The north Korean statement reads:

The DPRK’s access to nuclear weapons is the legitimate exercise of its righteous right for self-defense to cope with the US provocative moves for aggression and the DPRK's nuclear force is the treasured sword of justice firmly defending peace on the Korean peninsula and in the region.

Lieberman’s remarks were not welcomed in Israel either with Israeli politicians believing the country has enough of enemies in the world. Moshe Ya’alon, the former defense minister, said:

The minister of talk is chattering irresponsibly about North Korea. And there is no prime minister to rein in the babbling and posturing ministers.

The tensions over North Korea escalated after the country’s multiple missile tests, the latest yesterday, and speculations towards its sixth nuclear test. Besides, Trump’s failure in administering the issue led to more tensions.

American Warplanes Disturb Iranian Airliner in Persian Gulf in Minutes of Anxiety

American warplanes flied close to the Iranian airliner in Persian Gulf. According to the reports from a direct observer, two American military aircrafts disturbed the Aseman Airline flight carrying more than 70 passengers.

The flight from Lamerd town in Iran to Kuwait took off on Wednesday. The passenger said the warplanes flied too close to the airliner making the passengers anxious and stressful. It also led to sharp shakes to the airliner, agitating the passengers even more.

The warplanes had American flags and escorted the airliner, one on the side and the other beneath, for minutes. The reasons behind the act is still unclear and no official report has been dispatched yet from the two countries.

The ATR 72 flight 6521 airliner took off at 1 o’clock in the afternoon at Lamerd. The news is reported in Hassan Shemshadi’s Instagram page. Mr. Shemshadi, the Iranian correspondent and reporter, quotes the news directly from a passenger of the flight.

The incident is reminiscent of Iran Air Flight 655 disaster in July 1988. The flight was shot down in Persian Gulf by United States Navy guided missile cruiser USS Vincennes killing all 290 people on board.

Africans shooting archery in 1904 St Louis “Savage Olympics Exhibition”

Watching the hundreds of countries proudly waving their flags as they enter during the opening.
another one ..yep, don’t see this in the history books…”The Savages’ Olympics”: A shameful stain on history – pygmies, cannibals and tribesmen forced to compete at St Games in order to prove white supremacy.

Racism is deeply embedded in our culture. Slavery of African people, ethnic cleansing of Native Americans and colonialist imperialism are seeds that intertwine to create racism that still has impact.

The shameful spectacle was organised by 1904 games director James Edward Sullivan an Irish New Yorker, who wanted the tribesmen to compete against each other.

The Pygmies at the St Louis fair, on the other hand, liked to smoke cigars and wear top hats, which screwed up the show’s racist evolutionary ranking.

In the late to well into the Europeans created “human zoos” in cities like Paris; Hamburg, Germany; Antwerp, Belgium; Barcelona, Spain; London.

Africans are shown participating in archery in 1940 in St Louis at an event called the “Savage Olympics Exhibition”.

Ivanka Trump accused of violating international labour laws

A Chinese factory that produces clothing for Ivanka Trump’s fashion line has been accused of violating dozens of international labour laws by a retail industry watchdog.

Workers earned just $62 (£48) for nearly 60 hours a week, according to the report from the Fair Labor Association – a US based industry monitoring group.

In some parts of China this would be below the minimum wage, but the report did not say where the factory was based. The average manufacturing employee in urban China made almost twice as much money as the factory’s workers, or roughly 4,280 yuan (£484) a month, according to national data from 2014.

The Fair Labor Association, whose inspectors visited the factory last October, said its 80 workers make clothes for contractor G-III Apparel Group, which holds the licence of manufacturing and distributing Ms Trump’s fashion items.

The first daughter does not have a leadership role within the company and the report did not state whether at the time of the inspection, G-III was working-specifically on Ms Trump’s clothing line.

But over a two-day inspection the Fair Labor Association found it breached 24 international labour standards set by the UN International Labour Organisation, the Washington Post reports.

Employees making Ms Trump’s $139 (£108) dresses were required to work 57 hours a week “on a regular basis” to hit production targets, inspectors found.

Under Chinese law, overtime is limited at 36 hours a month, but employees for G-III reportedly worked up to 82 hours overtime a month between September 2015 and August 2016.

The factory audit also pointed out to the lack of compulsory social insurance benefits, the absence of a union to represent workers and it raised health and safety concerns.

G-III also works with manufacturers across Vietnam, Bangladesh and South America and makes clothes for a number of other brands, including Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger.

Ms Trump’s company declined to comment on the findings and G-III did not respond when asked about the allegations. Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger have also been approached for comment.

The revelations come after Ms Trump joined Chancellor Angela Merkel and the head of the International Monetary Fund Christine Lagarde in Germany for talks on encouraging women’s economic empowerment.

Ms Trump cast herself as a leading voice on issues in the workplace and “a tremendous champion of supporting families”.

The Washington Post reported that upon receiving the factory inspection findings, G-III pledged to make some progress on training and safety hazards and reduce overtime demands but made no commitments over pay.

The Fair Labour Association said factories were inspected at random but company leaders would be alerted in advance.

Macron campaign reveals about being victim of a cyber attack

Mr Macron’s party, known as “En Marche!” or “Onwards”, said it had been hit by at least five advanced “phishing” attacks that involved trying to trick a broad number of campaign staff members to click on professional-looking fake web pages.

The latest attacks were confirmed by security firm Trend Micro, whose researchers found links to a cyber espionage group it has dubbed Pawn Storm, the Macron team noted.

Other experts link the group, also known as “Fancy Bear” or “APT28”, to Russian military intelligence agency GRU.

Russia has denied involvement in attacks on Mr Macron’s campaign.

Mr Macron, an independent centrist who has been critical of Russian foreign policy, faces far-right leader Marine Le Pen in France’s presidential runoff on 7 May.

Ms Le Pen has taken loans from Russian banks and has called for closer ties with Russia.

“Emmanuel Macron is the only candidate in the French presidential campaign to be targeted [in phishing attacks],” his party said in a statement, adding this was “no coincidence”.

In mid-February, an En Marche! official told a news conference the party was enduring “hundreds if not thousands” of attacks on its networks, databases and sites from locations inside Russia and asked the French government for assistance.

The Macron campaign said today it had carried out counter-offensive actions against the fake web sites, which were designed to trick campaign workers into divulging their user credentials.

As a further precaution, it also said En Marche! does not use email to share confidential information.

Netherlands-based researcher Feike Hacquebord of Trend Micro said this week he had found evidence that Pawn Storm, which has been active since 2004, had targeted the Macron campaign with email phishing tricks and attempts to install malware on the campaign site in mid-March.

Mr Hacquebord said some of the same digital fingerprints linked the Macron phishing attacks with those last year on the Democratic National Committee and US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

He also found evidence that Pawn Storm was using similar techniques in the past two months to target two foundations tied to Germanys ruling coalition parties and to attack German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s party, the Christian Democratic Union, in April and May of last year.

Security firm Crowd Strike has said the group may be associated with the Russian military intelligence agency GRU.

Other U.S.-based firms Dell Secure Works, Fire Eye and Threat Connect have also said the group has ties to the Russian government.

Mr Hacquebord’s Tokyo-based Trend Micro has consistently said conclusive proof of Russian involvement is hard given the difficulty of attributing cyber attacks.

Asked about Trend’s findings that Mr Macron was under cyber attack, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday: “What [hacking] groups? From where? Why Russia? This slightly reminds me of accusations from Washington, which have been left hanging in mid-air until now and do not do their authors any credit.”

Russia leads super-weapons arms race

This month, the US demonstrated its capability to deliver long-range precision strikes in Syria. It also used its most powerful non-nuclear bomb in Afghanistan. The GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast can obliterate everything within a 1,000-yard radius. The US military started testing the new B61-12 gravity nuclear bomb in Nevada. A fleet of F-35 stealth fighter jets arrived in Europe. Today, rail-guns and directed-energy weapons systems are counted upon to sustain America’s precision strike advantage. But there is an area where the US appears to be lagging behind.
The emergence of hyper-sonic weapons is a revolution that seriously affects the global balance of power. For instance, when the new $15 billion US Ford-class aircraft carrier is commissioned, it will become vulnerable to hyper-sonic missiles.
On April 15, Russia successfully tested the 5-ton 3M22 Zircon hyper-sonic cruise missile that will travel at eight times the speed of sound at 6,136 mph.
«During the tests of the missile, it was confirmed that its speed on the march reaches eight Mach», Russian news agency TASS reported.
The hyper-sonic missile is a quantum leap in technology. It requires no electronic countermeasure warfare and complex trajectory of flight. The sheer speed makes any contemporary anti-aircraft defenses obsolete. The only air defense system that can strike targets capable of speeds of around Mach 5.0-Mach 6.0 is the Russian S-500.
The weapon is designed to be carried by advanced and modernized warships and submarines, including those of the Husky-class. Production of the missile is expected to be launched next year. The Admiral Nakhimov and the Pyotr Veliky nuclear-powered missile cruisers will be the first to receive the new weapon in 2018 and 2022 respectively. The Russian Navy plans to refit the two giant warships with ten 3S-14 vertical launch systems – each of which carries eight rounds. The addition of the 3S-14 would enable each ship to carry eighty cruise missiles on board.
According to the «A Threat to America’s Global Vigilance, Reach, and Power: High-Speed, Maneuvering Weapons», report produced in late 2016 by a blue-ribbon panel of experts for Air Force Studies Board at the National Academies of Science, the US is falling behind in the technology race to develop both defensive and offensive high-speed maneuvering arms. The paper sounds the alarm about an arms race quietly underway for several years to develop hyper-sonic missiles for both strategic nuclear weapons and conventional rapid strike systems.
Mark J. Lewis, chairman of the panel that produced the report, said the panel concluded that «the United States may be facing a threat from a new class of weapons that will effectively combine speed, maneuverability, and altitude in ways that could challenge this nation’s tenets of global vigilance, reach, and power».
Russia is also leading in hyper-sonic gliders. For instance, in October 2016 Russia successfully tested Object 4202 – an advanced glider warhead. The test was conducted at midday from a site near the town of Yasny, Orenburg region, in the southern Urals, and the warhead reached the Kura test range in Kamchatka in Russia’s Far East. The hyper-sonic glider vehicle (HGV) vehicle travels most of the time in the stratosphere rather than in space. It can maneuver during the approach to a target at high speed, leaving almost no time for missile defense systems to respond. The HGV is capable of accelerating to a maximum speed of 15 Mach (7 kilometers per second). The warhead was created using solely Russian-made components, including on-board equipment, electronic components and the guidance system. Object 4202 is to be installed on the Russia’s RS-28 Sarmat next-generation heavy intercontinental ballistic missile capable of carrying up to three HGVs as payload.
While spending ten times less that the United States on defense, including research and development, Russia has produced weapons that make entire US missile defense effort ineffective, while providing it with technological edge in first strike capability.
This is the time when fantasies come true. Russia has acquired the technology to create real models of hyper-sonic weapons, including cruise missiles and hyper-sonic warheads for ICBMs-gliders. Its world leadership in the race is confirmed by successful tests. Nobody else in the world is anywhere near to mass production phase.

Shiites protest in Abuja to mark El-Zakzaky’s 500th day in detention

Members of the group marched in separate male and female columns along the roadside from the event centre to the main entrance of the National Assembly, demanding the immediate release of their leader.
Sheikh Zakzaky and his wife were arrested on December 14, 2015, following a bloody crack down on Shias by the Nigerian Army in Zaria, Kaduna State.
The Chairman, Martyrs Foundation of IMN, Abdullhamid Bello, issued a statement on the occasion.
“As Sheikh Zakzaky clocks 500 days of unjustifiable detention, we come out in our numbers to peacefully show our dissatisfaction with the way the government of President Buhari has been handling the subject of Zaria pogrom that was conducted by the Army under his ultimate command”, he said in the statement.
“This was what led to the Sheikh’s unwarranted detention in the first place, and its aftermaths, including the extra-judicial murder of over a thousand innocent citizens under 48 hours.
“As Sheikh Zakzaky clocks 500 days in this unjustified detention, we have come out to demonstrate our unwavering commitment to Sheikh’s freedom and justice for all those oppressed sequel to that brutal massacre. We will not be cowed into silence by any oppressive measure this government will employ”, he stated.

Mr. Bello recalled that a court had ordered the Nigerian government to release Mr. El-Zakzaky and his wife within 45 days but that the two had remained in the custody of the State Security Service over 100 days after the court order.
“The Nigerian Army that has committed this horrible massacre in Zaria remains unpunished and has even chosen not to investigate what it did between 12-14 December, 2015, as it recently inaugurated an investigative panel on accusations of human rights abuses against the army.

“What is the Army hierarchy afraid of that it can’t even dare investigate a serious allegation of coldblooded killing of over 1000 civilians in Zaria?”

Mr. Bello appealed to Nigerians and the international community to prevail on the Nigerian government to release the IMN leader and his wife alongside members of the group unconditionally without delay.

How Saudi Arabia confronts regional nations rise?

The 2011 popular uprisings that swept through West Asia and North Africa triggered developments that could end up toppling dictatorships, pushing the global powers out of the region, and most importantly build a ground for rise of real democracies in the regional Muslim countries. But as the revolutions wave kept unfolding and expanding and posed risks of affecting some of the Persian Gulf Arab states, some regional regimes, on top of them Saudi Arabia, staged anti-uprising policies in a bid to keep the developments from materializing what all the popular revolts started for.

These efforts to kill off the uprising storm saw a sharp rise particularly after King Salman bin Abdulaziz ascended to the throne in Saudi Arabia in early 2015. The role playing in the region actually changed to be the top Saudi policy during Salman reign, who put his son Mohammed bin Salman as defense minister and a major policy maker.

Seeing their rule and the Arab allies as being under threat of uprising influence, the Saudi leaders promoted the idea that the Iran-led Shiite axis posed an existential danger to the Arab regimes, and went to great lengths to build a Sunni camp against Tehran in a bid to distance the public opinion from their real goals behind their revolts against dictatorships.

Riyadh even intensified its moves, to an extent that it waged a direct war against the Yemeni revolutionaries. The Saudi-led regional interventions in fact have started from Bahrain, now hitting their climax in the Yemeni offensive in which the kingdom continues its campaign through unceasing airstrikes against the Yemenis, while backed by a majority of the Persian Gulf Arab allies, particularly the United Arab Emirates that deployed ground forces to the Yemeni territories.

Riyadh leaders also sought dragging other Sunni states into the war, including those enjoying huge Saudi financial aids like Egypt and Turkey. But the attempts met with failure, largely because Ankara and Cairo’s view of the threat conflicted with that of Riyadh.

In the eyes of the Egyptian leaders, the Muslim Brotherhood and then the Salafi-takfiri groups were the overarching peril. For Turkey, a country moving the way of transformation from a secular republic to a Muslim Brotherhood-led state, the Kurds represent a major risk, followed by ISIS terrorist group. Despite this distinction of vision on the regional threats, the Saudi leaders still struggle to get Egypt and Turkey leaders to their side to get the chance of manipulating the West Asian developments. Riyadh efforts are not limited to diplomatic moves. Al Saud has so far spent hugely to block the revolution waves from smashing its walls, and the kingdom’s Arab allies.

To strongly face the threats, the kingdom even headed to the Israeli regime with which it boosted strategic cooperation. The shift in the Saudi Arabian policies caused Riyadh and Tel Aviv to work toward more common interests. Odds are that Saudi Arabia in the future will publicize its now-undercover relations with the Israeli regime, although the public opinion’s views inside the kingdom remain negative toward Tel Aviv, something handicapping closer ties between the two regimes.

On the other side, the Saudi leaders thought of boosting ties with the US and the European allies, a measure enabling them to strengthen their rule and more firmly push back against the popular developments taking place in the region. They are rejuvenating bonds with the US and calling on Britain to return to the Persian Gulf region. In return for weapons deals, the two powers help Riyadh counter what disrupts desired order in its vicinity.

However, despite all these measures by Riyadh and its allies, things are not going as they wish. In Bahrain, the anti-regime demonstrations are strongly going on. In Syria, where Saudi Arabia invested enormously on the militant groups to topple the government of President Bashar al-Assad, the Syrian army has been dealing painful blows to ISIS and other terrorist groups. In Yemen, the revolutionary resistance forced major retreats of the Saudi-led forces on the battlefield. In other countries, even Egypt, things are not going in interest of the Saudis. And in addition to all these setbacks, the closeness to Tel Aviv keeps damaging Riyadh’s face among the Muslim world’s public opinion.

War threats not working with North Korea, US seems failing politically

But that was not it; he added by saying, “There is a chance that we could end up having a major conflict with North Korea.” But it is not a surprise how Trump changes his statement i.e. turning away from his war threats he is now saying that the United States wants to work on a diplomatic solution of the problem. He says,”We’d love to solve things diplomatically, but it’s very difficult.” This turning away from the threat tone to diplomatic tone is being considered as secretary of State Rex Tillerson’s willingness to solve the issue through direct talks with North Korea’ “Obviously, that will be the way we would like to solve this.”

The White House Spokesperson, Sean Spicer has also expressed White House’s prospect of diplomatic solution, “The more that we can solve this diplomatically and continue to apply pressure on China and other countries to use the political and economic tools that they have to achieve a goal in stabilization in the region, but also to tamp down the threat that North Korea faces, I think that that is something that we all share”.
