The official spokesperson for Iraqi Kurdistan “Safin Dizayi” has revealed the UAE’s Consul General in Erbil, Mohammad Rashid al-Mansouri, is bankrolling hundreds of ISIS commanders and high-profile members. Dizayi added that after an attack launched by Iraqi forces on ISIS in Mosul, in which many ISIS casualties fell, and many more were expelled from Iraq’s second largest city, reports surfaced that Mohammad Rashed al-Mansouri was involved in smuggling some ISIS leaders out of Mosul, through the Turkish border, and into Syria and other countries.
Safin went on to say that “after extensive investigations, we were able to receive this information through ISIS members captured by Peshmerga forces, some of whom belong to the Al-Alwan tribes of Al-Nassaf, West of Falloujah. Safin noted that it seems that Al-Mansouri, and the consulate in Erbil, are smuggling money and equipment to ISIS under the pretense of delivering humanitarian aid to Iraq’s Sunni population, in a clear violation of international law, and this must be put to an end.
