The revolutionaries represent factions such as the Islamic Wafa’ (Loyalty) movement, the 14thFeb Coalition, the Haq movement, the Khalaas movement (Salvation), the Ahrar movement (Freemen); and they have all agreed on their pursuit of “legitimate resistance” in order to face the systematic crimes that target the identity of Bahrain’s native inhabitants.
It is of note that the Saudi “Peninsula Shield” forces entered Bahrain on the 14th of March 2011 to foil the Bahraini revolution that had taken place on February 14th of that year, when the marches were at their highest when the gathered at Lu’lu’a Sq.
On that year, Al-Saud and al-Khalifah’s forces attacked the gatherers and targeted them, killing a number of them and injuring others, destroying the square in the process, as it had become a symbol of the Bahrain revolution. Even today, Bahraini, Saudi, and Emirati military forces are still present in that area.
