Informed sources in Qatar revealed that Muhhamad bin Zayed and Pakistani Chief of Army Staff Qamar Javed had a meeting on Monday 27 February in Qasr al Shati in which the two sides discussed bilateral military and defense relations and the ways to boost them. The two men agreed that Pakistan give 1,500 experienced troops to the United Arab Emirates to be participate in the Yemen war under the flag of the UAE.
The UAE in exchange promised to prepare working conditions for more than 2,000 Pakistanis in the Emirates as well as to pay a monthly salary of $10,000 to every Pakistani mercenary. Besides, the UAE pledged to pay $100,000 as blood money to the family of each soldier who is killed in the conflict.
