The reason for the ban was that these countries are sponsoring terrorism.
According to the new executive order, immigrants and refugees from six out of seven Muslim countries will not be welcomed in the United States of America. The new edition of ban excludes Iraq while the ban prevents citizens of Iran, Syria, Sudan, Libya, Yemen and Somalia from entry.
The citizens from these countries will be subjected to a 90 days ban on travel to United States. After the ban was imposed, the Iraqi Prime minister had threatened the United States with retaliatory measures. It is worth noting that around 5000 American military personnel are present in Iraq.
Washington in the wake of these bans has completely failed to answer the question being asked by the global community why Iran and Syria is being banned where as a matter of fact these countries are at the front line in the war against ISIL and other such terrorist organizations.
