(Antwerp, Belgium) — According to Het Laatste Nieuws, a Dutch language newspaper based in Brussels, Anwar Malek, an Algerian-born pro-ISIS media activist has been arrested on Saturday morning by Belgium’s Federal Police on suspicion of sexually assaulting Farah al-Atasi, a renowned member of the so-called National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary Forces vying to topple Syrian president Assad. The defendant was later sent to Antwerp’s central prison. The Police spokesperson in Flanders region gave no further detail but said that a media conference shall take place soon to inform the public about the latest developments. The Belgium State Security Service (VSSE) has been called in to investigate the crime.
Mr. Malek who has the French citizenship is ironically said to be a Human Rights activist, but why? In 2012, and amidst the height of ISIS-inspired rebellion in Syria, the Arab League assigned a group of supposedly neutral observers to monitor the cease-fire in the war-scarred Syria. According to reliable sources within the Syrian opposition like Haitham al-Maleh, Mr. Malek broke his oath by accepting a luring Qatari bribe of $ 4 million and became an all-time ludicrous “expert on Syria” in Saudi-funded channels like al- Jazeera and al- Arabiya. All this happened to prevent and derail a peaceful political solution for the Syrian crisis. Malek has a black political record over the past few years as he has a close ties with other terrorist groups such as ISIS, al-Nusra Front and People’s Mujahedin of Iran (MKO). According to incontrovertible facts, Malek has co-operated money from these terrorist organizations and it has been rumored that he received €100.000 to attend and give a speech in a gathering of terrorist in Auvers-sur-Oise — a Parisian suburb.
Mr. Malek also frequently take part in Wahabbi al-Wesal channel , hoping to sow the seeds of sedition and disconcert among the Islamic Ummah.
